AI Solutions Engineer
Location: Full-Time, Remote (U.S.)
Reports To: CEO
Scope: Internal AI efficiency, client-facing AI-enabled process design (built on Workday Adaptive Planning and Pigment), and AI delivery standards
About PlanSimpli
PlanSimpli is an EPM consultancy specializing in Workday Adaptive Planning and Pigment implementations, helping clients extend planning beyond FP&A into SPM, S&OP, workforce planning, and project planning. AI is becoming a core part of both how we operate internally and what we offer clients, and this role sits at the center of that shift.
About the Role
This is a build-and-own AI role with several fronts, and you’ll move between them based on where the leverage is highest in a given month:
Internal: Build and maintain the automations, agents, and tooling that make PlanSimpli run more efficiently — the kind of workflow and process automation already underway across sales, delivery, and marketing. You’ll take manual, repeatable work off the team’s plate and turn it into reliable, maintained systems.
Client-facing: Design and build AI-enabled processes for client organizations — not just technical integrations, but rethinking how a client’s planning and business processes should work once AI is part of the toolset. This includes hands-on work with Workday Adaptive Planning and Pigment MCP servers and each platform’s native/in-tool AI features.
Delivery standards: Define how PlanSimpli itself uses AI responsibly and consistently across client deployments — the practices and guardrails our delivery team follows so AI use in engagements is deliberate, repeatable, and trustworthy rather than ad hoc.
This role reports directly to the CEO and will have significant latitude to define how the work gets done — we’re prioritizing strong judgment and execution ability over a fixed job description.
What You’ll Own
- Internal Tooling & Automation
- Design, build, and maintain internal automations and AI-driven workflows across sales, delivery, and marketing functions
- Identify manual/repeatable processes worth automating and make the call on build vs. buy
- Own reliability and maintenance of what you build — this isn’t prototype-and-move-on work
- Client-Facing AI-Enabled Process Design (WDAP / Pigment)
- Design AI-enabled planning and business processes for client organizations — the “what should this workflow look like with AI in it” question, not just the technical build
- Build and maintain integrations using Workday Adaptive Planning and Pigment MCP servers
- Develop capability using each platform’s native/in-tool AI features, and identify where custom agentic tooling adds more value than what’s built into the platform
- Partner with Gabe Macis (Solution Strategy) and delivery consultants to turn this capability into client-ready demos and, eventually, deliverable engagement work
- Help define what’s actually deliverable to clients vs. what’s roadmap/vision, keeping our AI story grounded in real capability
- AI Delivery Standards & Practices
- Define standards and best practices for how PlanSimpli consultants use AI responsibly within client deployments (data handling, review/validation of AI-generated output, appropriate use cases vs. off-limits ones)
- Document repeatable patterns for where and how AI should show up in an implementation, so quality doesn’t depend on which consultant is staffed
- Train and support delivery consultants in applying these standards on live engagements
- Technical Direction
- Bring outside perspective on what’s possible with current AI tooling (LLMs, agents, automation platforms, MCP) and help shape where PlanSimpli invests next
- Stay current on WDAP and Pigment’s own AI roadmaps so PlanSimpli is positioned ahead of, not behind, platform-native AI features
How Success is Measured (early)
- Internal automations built are in active, reliable use across the team (not one-off scripts)
- Working AI capability built on WDAP/Pigment MCPs and in-tool AI features, usable in real client conversations and engagements
- AI delivery standards documented and adopted by the consulting team — consistent AI usage across engagements regardless of who’s staffed
- Reduction in manual/repeatable work across sales, delivery, and marketing functions
- CEO has a credible technical partner for AI decisions rather than making them without engineering input
What You Bring
- Strong software engineering fundamentals — you can ship and maintain production-quality code, not just prototypes
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs/AI agents (APIs, tool use, agentic workflows, MCP, RAG, or similar) — this is a hard requirement
- Ability to think beyond the technical build to process design — you can look at a client’s workflow and identify where AI genuinely changes how the work should be done
- Comfort working without a fully defined roadmap — this role is being built as we go, and you’ll help define it
- Ability to context-switch between internal infrastructure work, client-facing/platform build work, and writing standards/documentation
- Strong communication — you’ll work directly with Joseph, Sales, Marketing, and Delivery, not just other engineers
Bonus Skills
- Experience with EPM/FP&A platforms (Workday Adaptive Planning, Pigment) or willingness to ramp quickly
- Direct experience building against MCP servers or similar tool-use/agent protocols
- Experience designing AI governance, standards, or best-practice frameworks (e.g. responsible AI use, review processes) in a consulting or client-services setting
- Experience in a small company/startup environment where you own outcomes end-to-end
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- A culture that prizes simplicity, innovation, and authenticity.
- Exposure to leading-edge AI tools and enterprise planning platforms
Work Eligibility
- Visa Sponsorship is not offered for this role.

Integrated Business Planning – Supply Chain Senior Consultant
Location: Remote (U.S.)
Reports To: Head of Delivery, with a dotted line to Gabe Macis (Solution Strategy) for demo asset work and sales support
Platform: Workday Adaptive Planning and Pigment
About PlanSimpli
PlanSimpli is an EPM consultancy specializing in Workday Adaptive Planning and Pigment implementations, helping clients extend planning beyond FP&A into SPM, S&OP, workforce planning, and project planning.
About the Role
PlanSimpli is expanding its Integrated Business Planning (IBP) / Supply Chain capability as part of extending planning beyond FP&A into S&OP, SPM, workforce planning, and project planning. This role is, first and foremost, a **Senior Consultant role** — you’ll be staffed on client engagements and carry a full billable load implementing IBP and supply chain planning solutions across Workday Adaptive Planning and Pigment, just like any other Senior Consultant on the team.
What makes this role different is the layer on top of delivery: you’ll also build the demo assets that help prospects see what great IBP/supply chain planning looks like, jump into sales conversations when technical depth is needed, and define the standards and best practices that make our IBP/supply chain delivery repeatable and consistent. This is not a management or pre-sales-only seat — the majority of your time is spent implementing for clients. The sales and standards work is additive, done in the gaps around and alongside delivery, not instead of it.
What You’ll Own
- Client Delivery (majority of time)
- Lead and execute IBP / supply chain planning workstreams for clients on Workday Adaptive Planning and Pigment — demand planning, S&OP, inventory and supply planning, and related integrated planning processes
- Run discovery, design, and build for supply chain/IBP modules within larger engagements
- Partner with Solution Leads/Architects and other consultants to ensure supply chain workstreams integrate cleanly with the broader financial planning model
- Demo Assets & Sales Support
- Build and maintain demo environments and assets that showcase IBP/supply chain planning capabilities to prospects
- Join sales conversations where deep supply chain/IBP expertise is needed to answer prospect questions or shape scope
- Translate real delivery patterns into demo-ready examples, keeping assets current as our approach evolves
- Standards & Best Practices
- Define and document standards and best practices for how PlanSimpli approaches IBP/supply chain planning engagements
- Create reusable frameworks, templates, and design patterns other consultants can apply on future supply chain engagements
- Feed lessons learned from live client work back into both the standards and the demo assets
How Success is Measured
- Strong delivery performance and client satisfaction across IBP/supply chain engagements (same bar as any Senior Consultant)
- Demo assets built and actively used in sales cycles
- Documented IBP/supply chain standards adopted by the broader delivery team
- Positive feedback from Sales/Solution Strategy on sales-conversation support
What You Bring
- Hands-on implementation experience with IBP, S&OP, or supply chain planning, ideally within an EPM/FP&A platform or SCM planning platform such as O9, Kinaxis, etc.
- Track record as a senior, client-facing implementation consultant — comfortable owning workstreams directly with clients, not just supporting a lead
- Comfort operating in front of prospects: able to speak credibly to supply chain/IBP capabilities in a sales setting without extensive coaching
- Experience creating documentation, frameworks, or standards from real project experience (not just following an existing playbook)
- Strong written and verbal communication — you’ll be documenting patterns other consultants will follow
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- A culture that prizes simplicity, innovation, and authenticity.
- Exposure to leading-edge AI tools and enterprise planning platforms
Work Eligibility
- Visa Sponsorship is not offered for this role.
